when the refrigerant liquid flows along the direction of  the arrow instructed on the filter, the side spilling-valve will run its function: if it generates exceeding pressure decline when flowsing over parts, the side valve will be slightly opened to remain sufficient airflow to cold down the tem perature of motor inside the hermetical compressor.

the side valve will be not workable when the suction filter drier is installed direction conversely with the arrow instructed on the filter, whatever pressure decline is, it won't be opened automatically. at this moment, it needs to be installed on access valve to test pressure decline throughfrom filter core to air-absorption assist valve of compressor.

letter of T shows there is an access valve inside this type of equipment , if the side valve can not run its function, please use this access valve to test pressures.
